Things that have Happened

Alright just a few things I wanted to blog about my people.

I got one of the best surprises of my LIFE last week, seriously.  I found out Jake Stewart was coming home for an entire week!!

Too bad I didn't know soon enough to get work off! I was still able to come home for a couple days and see him, and it was blissful, what a great kid.

So I worked until 1 on Wednesday and went home and hung around with my family for a few hours, then I went over to Jakes, and watched the last bit of the American Idol finale ( congrats Lee), speaking of AI I did not even watch it this season. It just wasnt as cool as it usually is.

(happy because David Archuleta was on AI, what a cutie!)

I left Jake's and drove up to Rexburg to have a sleepover with JOY! She is such a joy in my life, I do not know what I'd do without that ray of sunshine. I watched her play flag football and she dominated the entire world! They won 16-9? Or something like that. Anyway it was fun to watch even though it started raining.

The next day I went to Joy's classes with her, just to see what things were like up at BYU-I. Overall it was really fun! I like the campus, except that it is on a hill, that  made me sweat.

It would catch me way offguard when we would be talking about depression in her women's health class and the professor started talking about Heavenly Father. At first I was like, "WHOA WHAT!?" But then I got used to it until her Child development class. The professor walks in and says, "Alright what is our opening song?" Haha it caught me SO off guard. But I do think it is really cool.

(Oh just super excited to go to class)

I've heard that there aren't any cute boys up in Rexburg. Ladies, open your eyes because I saw quite a few!

(No men like this though, I just really enjoy this picture)

After Joy's classes were over I went back to Idaho Falls and took a nap for like, ten minutes.  Then Brock, Jake, and Court came over and we made posters for some of our friends graduating that night. I can't even believe how long it took to make posters. Sheesh. I even colored with a crayon because my marker ran out of ink. I haven't done that for a while, it was pretty exciting.

(Made my Court)

Graduation was long and boring, and super super hot.  But it was fun to see most of my friends! Bracken was a valedictorian so he spoke at graduation and he was really funny! At one point in his speech he said something like, "Some of my favorite memories from High School include Emily Austin pushing me up against the locker and kissing me.. oh wait that was a dream." He said that at GRADUATION in from of so many people! Hahaha it was so funny.

After graduation everyone came to my house and we had a blast! We played "What if" like we do every time we are together, we made funfetti cookies, the usual. It was so fun to catch up with everyone and see people I haven't seen in FOREVER!

(What a cutie)

(I worked at jamba with Parker and Chelsie; and Danielle the girl next to me is in my home ward! Love them!)

(This picture brings so much joy to my soul, two of my best friends!)

(Alli and I. Oprah hugging. I miss her everyday)

(Kimberlee, I miss her crazy stories!)

Some of  you may have seen my facebook status and I wanted to expound a bit. The other day my mother said, "You known if we lived in the pioneer days Jill would be crippled, Logan would be blind, Preston would be dead, Hayley would be ugly, and Emily would be the only normal one." They used it as the inspiration thought in RS. HAHA. It is so true though. Jill was born with a clubbed foot, Logan's eyes never fully developed or something like that, Preston has a titanium heart valve and a pacemaker, I used to have the most fangled teeth ever. And Emily is just normal. Wow I am super grateful I was born in this day and age!
(So thanks to things like surgery, artifical hear valves, contacts, mascara and braces, we are all halfway normal!)
One  last thought.
I called my mom yesterday because I had a question about chicken. So I asked, "Hey mom when I broil chicken do I have to turn it over?" A legitimate question, for I had never broiled chicken. Then she just starts laughing and says, "That is the dumbest question anyone has ever asked me." and I said, "No I really don't know, don't laugh at me." So then she says, "When you boil chicken you just put it in the water and let it boil." Then I started laughing way hard because I said 'broil' not 'boil' so then we both laughed for longer than necessary.  Hahaha wow that is probably the dumbest story ever but it's okay I know you enjoyed it. Oh, and I broiled my chicken and you do turn it over. It was so good!

Other than that, nothing really interesting has happened, I love living in Logan but I need to get some pals! It gets a little lonely. Good thing I have the hippeset roommates ever! Love you  Sam and Nichole!

25 Random Facts

So does everyone remember the "25 Random Facts" notes that everyone was posting on facebook a little over a year ago? I ran into mine the other day and thought I'd repost!! It is so funny to look back and see how I've changed over that past year and a half. I remember where I was at in life, things that were going on, I remember who I had a crush on, who I was closest to... I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it! :)
Ps- Some of my facts are very immature, I apologize. Hehehe.

Rules: read, enjoy, laugh! Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you. -- choose the rule you like best

(To do this, go to “notes” under tabs on your profile page, paste these instructions in the body of the note, type your 25 random things, tag 25 people (in the right hand corner of the app) then click publish.)

1. Pretty much all of my pet peeves have to do with food. If someone has food on their hands while they're eating, I have to turn my head and look elsewhere. I also can't eat right next to an old person, or someone that licks their fingersa lot.

2. My senior year is so lame. I really do not like it so far. Lets just say that cliques bug me, and nobody branches out!

3. I can't stand being around one- uppers, it makes me want to try and one up them all day long. And I could do it!

4. I usually wake up at 8 am to get ready for school, thats why I always look like I just got electrocuted (sp) or saved children from an alligator in a burning building. Then my mom always gets mad at me and I leave my house thinking she hates me,but she really does like me .. . i think. I just stay up so late doing dumb things like this!

5. I love music with all my heart. I really regret not putting more time into the Piano, I could be good at it. I'm learning the guitar, but its a struggle to make myself practice! I absolutely love to sing, it is my destresser. I am going to All Northwest in February and I am excited. My dream would be to sing chruch songs and be on the Sounds of Sunday and various church/ efy cds.

6. At any given time, I probably have 3 to 4 small crushes. Jason Castro will always be my one true love. In Kindergarten I had a crush on a boy named Ryan Whitehead. In Second grade I liked a boy named Taylor, but I dont know why, he had NASTY teeth. I cant remember the rest of my crushes, and I dont want everyone to know:)

7. In second grade, my friend and I traded shoes, I had regular tennis shoes and she had cowgirl boots, I wore them everyday! They were black leather, and I lived in Las Vegas, that was smart of me. I also had pink rainboots when I was a little girl. I never wore socks with them. They eventually smelled like poop so my brother threw them on our roof and I never saw them again.

8. I once got in trouble at school for kicking my friend in the butt really hard.

9. I love all of my cousins. I hope I marry someone that is like all of my boy cousins combined, they are awesome. I love them with my whole heart!!

10. I am moving to Utah this summer. It really stinks but I think I will be happy there, maybe some excitement will take place.

11. I love a man than can pull off dreadlocks. (Jason Castro)

12. I am TERRIFIED to raise children. Look at me, how can I be expected to raise a respectable human being? I am Hayley after all!

13. I have a cat named Roach. I can always tell when he is coming to cuddle with me because you can smell his breath from a mile away. I also love it when he rubs his face on me and I get eye snot on me. Yum.

14. I was a very ugly child. From 2nd to 9th grade. I was very very very unattractive and WHITE. It has gotten a little better, but I have a complex still.

15. My friends in Las Vegas had two houses! One was hers, and the other house was for their hispanic housekeeper and her family. The houses connected in their HUGE basement and we would always go to the bottom of their stairs in the basement and yell Spanish words up the stairs. One time we got caught and I peed a little. They also had a monkey named Halley.

16. One of the highlights of my life has been EFY. That sound stupid, but it really has helped me decide what my standards are and helped me shape who I am and who I want to be.

17. I am not a touchy person most of the time.  But I tell it like it is! If you need an opinion on anything, I will tell you the truth, even if it hurts.

18. I used to drive a 1991 Toyota Previa. It was a stick shift van! Riding in that car to school with my AWESOME brother Preston was so fun. One of the highlights of highschool! I miss that van. The "racing" van. Free Willy. Call it what you may, it was still cooler than you. oooooh yeah.

19. I always got in trouble for talking in elementary school. I was so rude, I didnt even care I just talked all the day long!

20.If you are a cute boy, and you come into my work, you can bet your bottom dollar that I will either take your order, or give it to you when I'm done.

21. I am so ready to get out in the real world! I want to make a difference, do something awesome, be known, ya know? Haha, everyone says that, but I dont want to go to college and look for a suitable husband like pretty much every girl I know. I want to travel around the world, teach English in a random places, like Micronesia or Thailand. I want to have fun!

22. When I get ready in the morning I wash my hands atleast 8 times. I do my hair, then make up. . and then my hair again. I take kind of a long time to get ready. I am kind of a germ a phob. Which is surprising because my bathroom isnt exactly spotless most of the time.

23. Joy Cooper and Stormie Hulet are the bestest friends I have ever had. I can tell them anything, even about my bowels! And they just act like I told them I just finished a book or something normal. My two sisters are my best friends that I'm related to. They are awesome and fun and I love spending time with them! Preston Alexander is the bestest man friend I have ever had!

24. When I get into bed, I rub my feet on my mattress really really fast to create heat, then I don't get cold. Speaking of feet, I hate hate hate feet!!! Its an OCD I have or something.

25. I love making fun of people to their face and they dont know I am making fun of them. They really think I am going along with the conversation, but I am really just making fun of them the whole time. I think I am just really sarcastic. I need to work on that. I also like to make any situation awkward. I'm really good at it.

I really enjoy these pictures, two of my  most favorite people!!!

Taco Tuesday

Today, I am no longer a Taco Tuesday virgin.

Every Tuesday Cafe Rio has what they call, "Taco Tuesday" where they sell their tacos for $1.50 each. I had heard of it but never bothered to go until today when  Marci text me and told me to come so I obliged. Marci and Stormie picked me up at my apartment and we were on our way!!

I knew Taco Tuesday was popular.. but WOW it was SO busy!! The line was to the door and almost all the tables were filled. I was thinking, "This must be good stuff." Since the line was so long, we just people watched, one of my favorite creepy things to do. Really, watching people is so insightful, even if you don't know the person you're watching.

Anyway we are standing in line and everyone starts yelling and these red balls are flying through the air. I was like, "Why are they throwing tomatoes at me??!?!!?! &%%$@"  Just kidding I didn't swear. But they weren't tomatoes, they were little red devil ducks! And on the bottom of them they said things like, "free ranch!" or "free beans!!" Marci got free ranch, score!

So we got our pork tacos and sat down to eat them. They were delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and company.

Thank you Stormie and Marci for taking me to Taco Tuesday, I loved hanging out with you guys!!

This is Marci, Joy, Stormie, and me just playing in the park. This will be a repeated this weekend because JOY IS COMING!! Wooo!! Oh and its true aggie night this Friday, how convenient for Joy wa ha ha.

30 March 2010

I get by with a little help . .

Every once in a while, I agonize over little things that don't really matter. It's nice to know I always have someone that knows exactly how I'm feeling.

Springbreak . . now summer break? Please?

Springbreak was last week and it was such a FUN week! Jake's springbreak was, conveniently enough, at the same time as mine.  So our week included going to Rexburg almost everyday to see Joy and Courtney! It was wonderful.

On Friday we went To Alice in Wonderland, 3D. I really enjoyed it. 3D is kind of weird, but AWESOME at the same time.

I look like a goon in this picture, but I'm fine with it.

Sunday was Tye Christensen's farewell :(  He has been such a good friend to me, he helped me survive my last year of high school, I would have gotten so bored without him. He is going to Brazil and  will be really great!  On the Tuesday after his farewell I went up to Rexburg with him and Austin Zohner for devotional. They shut down the ENITRE campus for the devotion, which I thought was really cool.  Utah State has devotional every Friday, and if you dont have class you go but if you do . . then thats too bad!

Oh, I also went to this cute little place called Cocoa Bean with Ryan, a new friend! They sell REALLY cute cupcakes and all these hot and cold drinks. Really, cute is the only word I can use to describe Cocoa Bean. I absolutely loved it! I want to go there again next time I'm in Idaho. I wish I had gotten pictures but I didnt even think about it. Next time :)

Twizlberry!
Jake!
I think we were trying to capture the "Can-can" in pictures. Ha ha.
I'll miss all these boys until . . summer? Christmas? Who knows when we'll all be together again!

Now I have to buckle down and get through the rest of this semester!  I am so excited for this summer, I have a lot to look forward to like New York and getting a new boyfriend. Just kidding about the boyfriend ba ha ha. I just want some HEAT!

Midterms and other EVIL things . . .

Okay so nothing evil happened this week besides midterms. THREE tests in one week, it was crazy!! I feel like I haven't even had time to breathe.

That is why I am SO GLAD its Friday!!! Happy weekend everyone!

Here are a few pictures of what I have been up to . . .

I went to Provo  to visit Kirsten, I love her. We had oodles of fun!! I even had my first In N' Out burger, delicious:)

One of my dearest and bestest friends Preston Alexander left on his mssion to Long Beach, California on March 3rd, miss you Preston!!

Oh and my little sister Emily turned SIXTEEN!! I can't believe my little baby sister can date, she is actually going on her first date tonight, I think I am more excited about it than she is, she mostly just thinks I'm freaky :) Love you Emily!!

18 February 2010

Hello New York!

I just remembered something that I cannot believe I forgot to blog about! I was accepted into the Hill Cumorah pageant this summer in Palmyra, NY! I am SO unbelievably excited about it. It's a musical/ play about the gospel/Christ's life and I feel so blessed that I get to have this experience and share it with my cousin Kirsten, we're going together as "young single adults" so that should be so fun. It will definitely be a two and a half week long missionary experience. I hope everyone who watches will feel something and want to learn more about our church!

If you want to read more about it click here

This is Kirsten. I love her. And this pageant is going to be a PARTY!
