It's Gone

Chopped like 6 inches off my hair today. Don't even worry about it. IT IS SHORT!! I'll post pictures later. I've never had short hair before! (Except for when I lived in Vegas, I don't wanna talk about it)

When I woke up this morning I was not planning on cutting my hair. Then I went to work. It was slow, so I had too much time to think. All these cute ladies with their cute short hair kept coming in and by the end of my shift I decided I was just going to walk into a hair salon and have them chop it off!!

So I drove down main street and went to my trusted salon that allows walk-ins. They sat me down right then and cut it! So risky but I think it turned out okay! I will be able to tell more when I actually style it myself. They always leave my hair so flat. I gotta have some poof, people.

(Which has been getting shorter... and shorter... is now just a little above my collar bone. Eeeek!!)

Help me please!!! I need it!

I really do!! This post is pretty much just about my hair. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT. It's probably really trivial that I am worried enough about it to dedicate an entire blog post to it, but I need advice.

Right now its medium length with full bangs- not sure if I like the full bangs on me. I think my nose is too big for them, maybe? Here are a few pics with them:

So I don't know what to do with it now. I can't decide if I like the bangs. I might cut it shorter again, like the sideways pic and keep the bangs, or grow the bangs out and still cut it shorter. I am thinking something like this:

Sophomore Slump

I thought for a very long time, probably until I was a sophomore in high school, that sophomore was spelled sophmore. I guess the second 'o' is silent!

Anyways that is what I am in right now. I have diagnosed myself. I am in a Sophomore slump. Haha. So great.

Does anyone have any advice for me? How did you get through your Sophomore slump and keep chugging along through school? Without going crazy?

Is it Worth it?

Lately the words "disappointment" and "regret" have been on my mind. When is something worth doing/seeing even though there is potential for disappointment and regret?

Is it worth spending money on clothing/make up just to feel better?

Is it worth feeling the pleasure of sleeping in and missing class?

Is it worth eating that extra scoop of ice cream?

Is it worth going out with/talking to different boys/men, only to over analyze everything and pout because once again, they aren't interested?

Is it worth transgressing and having to repent and make a wrong, right?

Is it worth staying up way too late  so you can have a good conversation?

Is it worth not doing your dishes for two days knowing it probably bugs the people you live with? (Ha)

Is it worth watching the 2 funny parts in a move when the rest is filthy?

Is it worth risking a relationship to speak your mind about something that bothers you?

Is it worth going streaking down main street even though you know you'll probably go to jail? Just kidding that was a joke.

Is it worth it?

When is something worth it?! There isn't just black and white with this people! There is definitely a gray area. Some people are so wise and disciplined when it comes to this sort of thing! Maybe I am thinking too much? What are your thoughts?

I also forgot to mention that my roommates and friends took me to dinner for my birthday, a couple of days before my actual birthday. We went to a little place called Cafe Sabor. And when it's your birthday they come out of the kitchen clapping and make you wear a sombrero hahaha. I have some pictures from it that I will post later. But it was hilarious.

Can you say this is a scatter brained post? I say it is!

I'm Old

This past week is when it happened.

I turned 20 - TWENTY.

How crazy! I am no longer a teenager! Today I was able to say that for the first time. Someone asked me how old I am and I said,"twenty!!." Just kidding I said, "twenty," in a very grown-up mature tone.

So besides my birthday other things happened this past week:

My old roommate Emily got MARRIED in SL, UT. Haha just kidding, I saw that the other day on a t-shirt and I think it's pretty lame. So I went to Salt Lake before Emily's wedding to spend my birthday with my sister, Jill. It was so fun. We went shopping, ate lots of yummy treats (Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory caramel apples?? Yum!), and Nattie made a wonderful, delicious, cookie cake for me! I am not joking when I say that I miss it. I wish it was still here with me right now. So I could nibble (inhale) it as I sit here, writing this blog post.

The day after my b-day was Emily's wedding day! I went to her luncheon at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, what a beautiful building! I love it. And when I was about to walk into the revolving doors, L. Tom Perry walked out.. I know I KNOW. I got a really big smile on my face so he knew I recognized him. He then smiled and said, "Hello!" in the most cheerful tone. I even managed to say, "hi" back! I'm glad I was running a little bit late haha.

Anyway the food at Emily's luncheon was delicious, Emily & Brady's parents talked for a minute, then Emily's Grandpa sang to the newlywed's. Emily's husband Brady also sang to her! It was so cute.

After the luncheon I hustled back to Idaho for one of my closest friend's wedding, Ashley! She is the sweetest girl and I am so happy I was able to go back to Idaho for her reception.

I then got to celebrate my birthday with my friends!! Joy and my little sis threw me a party in Rexburg. I didn't get any pictures though :(

All in all it was a really fun birthday week and I am so grateful for the people in my life that made it so fun!

Okay so I don't have any pictures after Christmas, but that's my year in pictures. It wasn't the most exciting year but I definitely learned alot about myself and I can't wait to see what 2011 has in store for me... new job? In laws? Mission papers? What? We shall see.

I'm not way into New Years resolutions but this year I want to keep myself busy while having balance. I want to be efficient and get things done! What are your resolutions?
