Barnes&Noble

Quick story:

My mom and I went shopping the day after Black Friday.. so we went shopping on Saturday. Anyways we parked in front of Barnes&Noble because I LOVE walking through that store. They have the cutest journals!

So before we start our shopping we had to use the restroom, when do I not need to use the restroom? We walked through the children's section and get to the bathroom and this lady is standing there waiting in line... even though the door to the handicap stall is open, and so is the one to her left,I don't think she noticed.. But whatever I wasn't going to say anything even though my bladder was about to empty all over the tile. This lady finally looked to her left and realized," Oh this stall is open!" EVEN THOUGH THE HANDICAP STALL WAS OPEN THE WHOLE TIME. Is it called a handicap stall? I don't like the word handicap.

Anyways my mom could sense my urgency so she let me go ahead of her in line, how nice. My mom is so nice. And I start walking towards the back handicap stall and when I am about to walk in this lady emerges!! Bare legs, pants around her ankles, hand pulling down her shirt in the front so I don't see anything that'd give me nightmares (too late!), she was definitely waddling, we make eye contact and she shuts the door.

Oh. My. Whatjusthappened.

My mom and I look at each other and start silently laughing, like when you laugh so hard no sound comes out. I had to leave that bathroom or else I would have lost it. I walked around Barnes&Noble laughing to myself, eyes watering, bladder about to explode. So uncomfortable. My mom finds me and I start explaining to her why I had to leave, and I start laughing and my mom says, "Shh!! She is right behind you.! She was behind me and heard everything I said!! How embarrassing!! The only thing more embarrassing than that would have been to walk around a Barnes & Noble bathroom with my pants down. Oh wait she did that so I don't feel as bad.

The rest of the trip was great. We got fudge and cinnamon glazed almonds aka my crack. Then we listened to the cutest old people play Christmas songs on their instruments! This little old man was playing a bass (not a guitar, the string instrument foolz)  that was about as big as he :) Overall an excellent, fun day!

(Oh Idaho how lovely ye are with your storms and icy roads)

(Joy to the World, Joy Cooper has come, let earth receive her bling- haha I just made that up as I typed it)

(The pale sisters- ba ha ha. Seriously though. And Emily was about to blink, overall a terrible picture, drink it up. )

( I didn't make this pie I'm just posing with it.haha)

(All of us except mom, she was taking the pic-small crowd this year)

(I made these 2 pies! With the help of The Pioneer Woman I LOVE HER)

(Sorry dad)

(The whole family!)

The Turkey was moist, as were the rolls.

The gravy was to die for.

And just so you know, the stuffing was PERFECTION IN MY MOUTH. I'm not weighing myself for atleast a week, I am positive I gained atleast 8 pounds.

Last but certainly not least, Black Friday was awesomely successful, I went shopping with my bestest friend Joy!! So fun :)

Hope everyone had an excellent, relaxing, and filling Thanksgiving break!!

Remember to give the Salvation Army bell ringers your change. Just do it.

Grateful for Thanksgiving...

I am so stoked for Thanksgiving!!!

And I never say "stoked" so that means I am truly "stoked"

I haven't been home since the beginning of October; to me that is a long, long time. Too long I say.

So I went to Harry Potter and it was amazing. People keep freaking out about the nude scene, but I say
COME ON it really wasn't bad. It was slightly shocking but I don't think it's going to taint anyone's mind unless you are really sensitive to that kind of thing. My roommate, Sarah ,and I went and found a dead tree and made wands, it was fantastic! Don't worry the tree wasn't on church propery or anything (yes it was). Sarah cut her hand and I almost got poked in the eye, but sometimes you have to sacrifice some blood to get a good wand, as Harry Potter would say. Just kidding Harry never said that.

(I bought this sweater to wear for harry potter, but I think I kind of like it, I might have worn it today. I look weird in this picture. )

(My wand. I whittled it with my Ikea knife. I am so vain to put up 2 pictures of myself in one blog post. )

Today I made Peppermint Bark!! I like making cute things, and Peppermint bark is cute, festive, and delicious. But don't worry I didn't make it for myself, I made it for the girls I visit teach! I am so good, I am getting my visiting teaching done :)  It was really simple. RECIPE

I was planning on going home tomorrow, but I guess a big blizzard is supposed to roll in around noon, guess who wouldn't be able to leave Logan until 4? Dang it.. oh well, I get to be home Wednesday through Sunday!!

The other morning I woke up and there was a big hole in my sheets! I ripped my sheets in my sleep! They aren't even threadbare or anything! What in the world? Did Edward get in my bed? No, he didn't because I would have remembered that and he is too much of a gentleman to make me not remember it. Ba haha. Anyways I am getting new sheets and I'm pretty excited about it.

Wha???

In honor of Thanksgiving I will now tortue you with the mushy, gushy stuff.
I am so grateful for my awesome roommates!! We have so much fun, even when we just sit around and talk, they are such great, nice girls. I can always count on them to make my day happy and fun. And they don't get mad at me for cooking ALL THE TIME. I think that's just lovely. They are also really funny. They say the funniest things at unexpected times and I love learning more about them every day, what a treat! They are also really, really pretty. So it's nice to be able to look at attractive people when I am home, comforting.

I'm so excited to be with my family and friends this next week! I am so grateful for all of them and how much they love and support me. Their love and support means everything to me, and I am so lucky to be able to have such amazing people in my life. This past year has definitely been a rollercoaster but I have them to help me through it!!

I've had them and an amazing Father is Heaven who is always looking out for me and making sure I take my life in the right direction, which may lead me through some confusion and discouragement but I know it's for my benefit and I will come out a better, stronger person because of it if I just submit my will to the lord and follow his plan for me, he can make more out of me than I could ever make out of myself.

I feel like half of my blog posts have something mushy/churchy in them but I like to have a little substance in my blogs, okay? Plus it keeps me thinking about good things!

I am so grateful I was able to grow up in a warm, loving, and fun filled environment. There are so many amazing people I know that had such hard lives growing up and I never had to deal with anything too hard growing up, I have been so blessed. I have been blessed in my relationships with my parents and siblings, we are all such good friends and I adore feeling so loved and accepted when I am with them. It's the same with my cousins, we are all so tight knit and being with them is like coming home even if we haven't seen each other for months! I am so excited for heaven when we can be together all the time, IT'S GONNA BE A BLASTOLA.

Last but not least, I am grateful for stuffing.

I will post more later this week about what I am grateful for. What are you grateful for? Me? That's what I thought. Haha just kidding kiddie-winks!

Update on my life..

I need a break.A break from everything that has to do with Logan, Utah.

Good thing Thanksgiving break is next week, kids!!!!

Here are some pictures of things that have taken place the past few weeks.

(Jenny and Me at Logan's Rugby game... maybe at Zuppa's? Don't remember)

(Logan's biggest fans)

(He was in such a good mood after the game)

Last but not least . . .

My halloween costume! Haha. I went to SLC and dressed up as a dead bride along with a few other girls!! We each died a different death. For example: I died by slitting my wrists, I did this on my wedding night right before my husband was about to ravage me!  I wish I had pictures of all the girls! But I'll tell you how they all died. Pam died by being strangled, Brooke died by childbirth haha, Nichole was electrocuted? I dont remember. Nattie was stabbed several times, I dont remember how Jill died, and Brisha died by drowning. She put vegetable oil in her hair so it looked wet all night, sweeeet!

So we went to this house party and it was really fun.

Anyways moving on, I am SO EXCITED for Thanksgiving. I am making TWO pies. They will be delicious; Pumpkin cream pie, and peanut butter chocolate. I'll post the recipes later, after I see if they are actually good :)

Karly is getting married tomorrow!!!!!!! How crazy. I really wish I could be there for her on her special day  :( I have known Karly since middle school! She has always been one of my most favorite people on the entire earth. She is always fun to talk to, and we get along so great. We worked together at Jamba for several months and I knew that if I was working with Karly, it was going to be a good time!!! She is so cool, I think the world of her and I wish I could be more like her!! I know she and Wade will be SO happy together. Congratulations guys!

I have been listening to Christmas music for a week now, and I love it. I LOVE CHRISTMAS MUSIC. All of it. Except Natalie Cole, just because her dad can sing doesn't mean she can, right? I think she is a pretty terrible singer, although she is probably a lovely person.

Here are some pics from last years Christmas...

(Mmm nothing like a lil' Hayley in the morn)

(Ugly sweaters)

(Ready for Christmas Eve!)

Did anyone watch Glee this past week? Gwenyth Paltrow is the bomb! Singin' in the Rain/Umbr
ella? So awesome! Now you should go listen to Glee's Christmas CD because it'll make you cry, even if you think Glee is an evil show that is leading all the youth straight to hell, you'll still love the CD, promise.

Anyways, yes, Thanksgiving!!! I am excited to do this:

(Lovely angle)

Thanks for reading, be sure to comment, it makes me want to blog more. Which means no comments makes me want to cry

The Oak Tree

The Oak Tree

by Johnny Ray Ryder Jr

(with some embellishments by Hayley Jo)

A mighty wind blew night and day

It stole the oak tree's leaves away

Then snapped its boughs and pulled its bark

Until the oak was tired and stark

But still the oak tree held its ground

While other trees fell all around

The weary wind gave up and spoke.

How can you still be standing Oak?

The oak tree said, I know that you

Can break each branch of mine in two

Carry every leaf away

Shake my limbs, and make me sway

But I have roots stretched in the earth

Growing stronger since my birth

You'll never touch them, for you see

They are the deepest part of me

Until today, I wasn't sure

Of just how much I could endure

But now I've found, with thanks to you

I'm stronger than I ever knew

Falling Stars..

I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS SONG...

So sometimes I am really immature. And my love for David Archuleta is probably the most immature thing about me. That, and how mesmerized I am by men with nice arms. Not huge muscular arms, but nice arms. I like them. And I know a lot of people think David Archuleta is a sissie, gay, feminine boy but I don't even care, he is so talented and I will stick up for him! Anyways this song is amazing and I just like to lay on my bed with my eyes closed and listen to it over and over again... to avoid my stats homework. :)

24 October 2010

I love beautiful singing voices

Logan has been having so many good concerts this semester! I haven't been able to go to even 1/3 of them but I have made it to a couple and they've all been GREAT.

Allred. He is fabulous. And has fabulous songs. He played at the Logan Art house and Cinema so it was a pretty intimate show which I liked because he was funny! Not as nervous, told stories. It was awesome! I got a chance to talk to him for a minute after the show!!

(Jaimie, Allred, and me!)

At the Allred concert I wasn't expecting anything from the opening acts but then Jesse Wride came on stage! HOLY MAMMA he is amazing! His voice is so strong, he is amazing on the piano, and his songs are top notch. I hope he comes back to Logan soon!

(JWride, look him up!)

And last Tuesday, for homecoming week, BENTON PAUL came and palyed in the amphitheater!! If you know me at all you know that I absolutely LOVE him so much, more than any other artist.  Not very many people knew about the show so there were only like 50 people there, but I liked that too, he was so funny and told us a few stories.

(WAHHH!!! You don't even know what kind of heaven I was in that night!!!)

Every other show I've seen him play has been a big concert, so there are always like 500 twelve year old girls waiting to get his autograph. But this was not the case! I GOT A PICTURE WITH HIM!!! I have been waiting 3 years to get this picture, I wish I didn't look like crap in it, but I had just gotten off work haha. Amelia and I got to talk to him for like three minutes, so amazing. Anyways it was so great and it made my life!!

Last night I went to TWO hypnotist shows, back to back. They were so funny!! He (the hypnotist) made thsi girl think she was Kesha so she performed Tik Tok, then he talked to her after and asked her where she was going on tour next and she goes, "London! But I don't know how to speak Londish." HAHAHA I almost died. Then he made this kid think he was killing people when he shot them with a water gun and every time he did it he yelled, "OH MY GOSH YOU KILLED KENNY!!" Then he used his shoe as a phone to call the police hahahahahaa. I so enjoyed myself.

Anyways that's all for now. Except.

I'm a true Aggie as of Friday night HAHA. Awesome. It was great.  But I'm glad it's over with and I am LEGIIIT.

Have a nice day, thanks for reading it makes my world go round!! :)
