The creepiest animal ever

Have you guys ever heard of a Carpincho? It is like a GIANT RAT/ GUINEA PIG THING. And I find it sooo creepy but I cant stop googling pictures of it, even thought it frightens me so. I recently saw one of these on a commercial on tv. I don't remember what the commercial was about except that there was a GIANT CARPINCHO sitting on this woman's bed. Anyways here are pictures of the horrid thing. Why were they created? What good do they offer to the world? I am guessing you can use their skin to make shoes and clothing items because there were a couple of google images shuffled in with the hundreds of pictures of this beast!

Okay it cant be all that bad if a bird will sit on it's head

Ah!!

Ah!! This is what haunts me in my dreams

nursing

Okay this one has a leash on it, it is DOMESTICATED?? WHAT?! Maybe Cory will take back his ipad he bought to day so we can afford to buy one of these.

2 things, 2 pictures

Okay, okay I am glad to know that my blog is actually read! Thank you, thank you! This won't be much of a post but just a couple of things that I WILL post about later this week.

1- My little sister Emily cut off 10 inches of her hair and donated it to locks of love. And she asked me to cut it!  Her school had an assembly for it, it was really cool and I am really proud of her.

2- My best friend and cousin in law (if that is such a thing ha) graduated from BYU Idaho! I cant believe she is graduated! She is all grown up. Cory and I went to her graduation and I had a knot in my throat the whole time.  A knot of unshed tears, because now is she is moving onto bigger and better things!  It is crazy how time flies by.

Also, I jumped on a trampoline today! With Cory, my sisters in law Jodee, Andrea, and cousin Mckae! It was really fun, but I got bounced pretty high a few times and that kinda scared me!

Here are a couple pictures for now:

Cory took this and I have no idea what I was doing. But this face = love

Cory wanted to play a game called "pizza roll" where you take all the pillows and blankets you can find, lay them out, and then roll up in them. He said he used to play it with his siblings. I think he was just messin with me.

Things I like

I like old people that say, "Hell" before saying anything. Example: "Hell, I know what you mean darlin'!!

I like it when I am doing something in our bedroom, not looking Cory's direction, and he is trying to sneakily put my clothes away or shove them over to the floor by my bed so he can't see them! He is the neater one in this marriage.

I like discussing outrageous scenarios of things that will never happen in real life. Like if I got caught eating food at a movie theater that I didn't buy at the theater! (I really don't know what I would do.)

I like that it is staying light outside for so long! Too bad our apartment doesn't have windows.

I really do like the Hunger Games. And I swear I introduced them to Idaho Falls. I also feel that way about Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

I like pizza from The Pizza Factory

I LIKE going to bed before midnight!! I just recently started doing this and I feel so much better during the day!

I like that I am getting over this lame sinus infection

I like Cory's laugh. His real laugh. It is a little bit high pitched and it is SO funny it kills me, and it is so rewarding to hear if that laugh is for something I said!

I like that this blog is pretty much a journal. I could even write secret things in it because NO ONE reads it. Haha

Have a great day

A wedding and a sinus infection

So for the past month I have kind of had a constant sore throat and a constant ear ache, and since my parents NEVER took me to the doctor as a child, I just thought my symptoms would go away since my sicknesses in the past had. WELL it did not go away, and I woke up this past Sunday with a terrible sore throat and I pretty much felt like crud. So my sweet husband took me to community care and we found out that I had a sinus infection??! Whaaa?? I did NOT know a sinus infection could cause such misery!! Then that night we had to speak at a fireside for my parents stake. Cory and I, along with 2 other couples had to answer questions the youth asked about keeping standards and marriage and stuff. I pretty much don't remember anything I said or what anyone else said because I was thinking about how I was sure my head was going to explode. I felt everything draining. It was terrible. And I am a baby when it comes to sickness. Then on Monday I cried when I had to go to work, I was sweating because I had a fever and my head was pounding. Now it is Tuesday and I feel loads better than I did on Sunday thanks to antibiotics and lots of sleep & water. But now I have to blow my nose every 3 minutes and my voice is GONE. When I do try to talk it sounds so weird. Like a manly Tommy Pickles. Cory kept making me say things, then he'd laugh. Then I would laugh but I can't laugh, I start hacking, and it hurts. So that is what has been happening in the Whittier household lately.

Okay anyways my cousin Kirsten got married on March 10th!! I am so excited for her!! She had a reception in Utah this past Thursday, here are a few pics from the short trip.

My sisters Jenny, Emily, Jill, me, my wonderful cousin Jan!

We hadn't eaten all day so my dad went to the Pizza Factory and picked up a couple of delicious pizzas for us and we ate them in the parking lot of the reception place! He is really enjoying them in the background there if you didn't notice, haha.

My brother Preston and cousin Dallin. They love taking pictures together.

My 18 year old little sister, Emily!

The blushing bride was very busy so I only got one pic, but isn't she a beauty! So happy for her and BJ.

In other news, Cory starts school in a few weeks and I am so excited for him! We are hoping the next few months will be a little less busy than our first few months of marriage.

Should I work out, and then watch American Idol. Or watch American Idol and then work out?

These are the things that plague my mind.

Valentine's Day thighs, I mean thoughts

Today I was reflecting on Valentine's Day as I ate some See's chocolates at work. It really is all about the candy! I personally like chocolate, those conversation hearts and cute and everything but they really aren't that good. and they WILL give you interproximal cavities if you don't floss immediately after eating!
Anyways, pretty much any kind of chocolate is good, but it is best when it contains nuts and caramel. Caramel, not carmel.
Right now Cory is ironing his shirts that I washed more than a week ago, I'm pretty sure I told him I would iron them but I never got around to it! Sorry, love!
I've never had a "significant other"around V-day (we're still talking about Valentines day, not Virgin day, if there is such a thing). I have gotten close twice, close to having a Valentine, not close to anything that has to do with virginism.. hahahaha that whole paragraph was awkward. Please don't read it again.

The first time was when I was 16, and me and this boy "liked" each other and we were in that awkward stage where you act like you don't see them but you peek at each other from the corner of your eye, and then you eventually talk and then hug for like 5 minutes, which is a waaaay long time. Anyways he came up to me and handed me a burned CD, said something like "here," and walked away. I didn't even realize it was a Valentines Day present until I realized that it was, in fact, Valentines Day!

The second time was just last year! Cory asked me on our first date around Valentines day. I don't remember the exact day, but I do know that we went on our first date on February 19, 2011. And he asked me like a week before that. So I guess that is kind of a Valentines Day presents. On our first date we went to Famous Dave's and then we went to Gnomeo and Juliet, haha.

So this year is the real deal! I am excited to see what having a cool and not lame Valentine's Day is like! And what am I even supposed to get a boy for this girly, lovey dovey holiday?

11 January 2012

I had a birthday

My birthday was this past Friday, January 6th, so that means I am twenty-one! I can't believe that. For some reason it is so crazy that I will be 22 next year. I feel like I am just getting older, but not wiser haha. Anyways for my b-day I woke up with Cory at 6:30 am and when I walked out into the kitchen, Cory had hung streamers and balloons from the ceiling! It was such a surprise, and it was real sweet of him.
(This is our new kitchen, I love it and again with the underlining, does anyone know how to fix that?)

After that I went to sleep and I slept in kind of late, then I went to lunch with my mom at Cafe Rio. While we were eating, part of my fork broke off and landed in my food. I tried to avoid picking it up but I failed. I bit into it and it wedged between my two front teeth! There was so much pressure in between them I though I broke a tooth or something! But I didn't I think I just traumatized my two front teeth. Then all my front teeth from canine to canine were pretty sore for the next couple days, it kind of felt like I had braces again. Anyways, they don't look like they moved atall, so that's good.

After Cafe Rio we went shopping for a couple of hours. It was so fun! I love hanging out with my mom, she is a fun lady. Then when Cory got home from work I opened my presents, which were lovely! Then we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner which is ALWAYS SO DANG GOOD. I love that place. After that we went to the Whittier's house and they gave me their present which was a DOILY and a picture frame, and a really really yummy homemade bar of soap. Finally, we went home and relaxed, which was the best gift. For some reason I am SO tired after work that I just have to sit down for like 6 hours. And on the weekends I just want to sleep. Is something wrong with me? I feel like I don't have any stamina anymore.

(One of my presents from Lemon Meringue, my favorite store:)

(me & my sweet husband)

All in all my birthday was really fun! I am so grateful for the wonderful years I've had thus far in my life, and I am excited for all the new adventures in the many years to come!!
