You're here by Francesca Battistelli

I love this song! Its called You're Here,  by Francesca Battistelli. She's a christian singer haha. I feel like I talk about religious/spiritual things so much on this blog. I'll tell you a gross story next time. Anyways this is a Christmas song  and it really makes me feel the spirit of Christmas! I'm going to try my hardest to remember my Savior this week and all he has done for me!!!

I want to live in Aslan's country

Okay so my good friend Kazia and I went to Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader, I'm pretty sure that's what it's called anyways. And it was amazing.

It's so cool how applicable it can be to our lives. They say so many little things that I just think,"Oh  my gosh, this can apply to my life! For example at the end, Lucy and Aslan have this conversation.

Lucy: Aslan, will we ever meet with you in our world?
Aslan: You shall.
Lucy: How?
Aslan: Because there I have another name. You must learn to know me by that name. This was the very reason why you were brought to Narnia, that knowing me here for a little, you may know me better there.

CHILLS. This totally applies to all of us. We knew Heavenly Father, then we came to earth to find our way back to him and know him even better, so we'll recognize him when we see him again. Maybe that doesn't make sense, but it's funny that I felt the spirit at a movie haha.

Aslan is SO pretty. I want a lion, a lion that is comparable to Deity and won't eat me. Ha.

(Look how pretty he is!!)

Prince, or I should say KING Caspian. He is so noble, and I want to have his babies, and be with him for eternity. Oops did I just say that? Can you blame me?

(Mmmmm)

(I just died. Seventeen times. I hate movie star/famous people crushes. WHY DON'T THEY EVER LOVE ME BACK?)

Just one more.. for guilty pleasure..

(Be mine?)

I even love his long hair. He kind of has poky-outy ears with short hair. ( Just made that word up:)

Anyways enough of the lusting.

(Okay now I'm done.)

I highly recommend this movie!! It is safe to say all 3 Narnia movies are by far my most favorite movies ever. Besides Princess Diaries and the Count of Monte Cristo:)

Enjoy this last week before the Christmas season is over!  ,
As always, thanks for reading- I really appreciate it.

I AM DONE WITH FINALS

I think the title says it all, ya'll

Even though I'm done, I feel like I still have homework to do. But guess what? I don't!
I can relax and pretty much do whatever I want. Awesome.

I'm obsessed with this song, I enjoy this version the most. A lot of people enjoy the Sam Tsui version but
The Band Perry is AWESOME even though the two boys in it look like hooligans. And I can only handle so
much Sam Tsui. You know what I mean.

So I got bangs and I don't think I like them. I feel like a boy, they look SO cute on other people, I just can't
pull it off. Plus in this picture I look like I have a mullet, but it does look better in person. PROMISE. If you see me just talk about something else besides my hair, there are far more interesting things.

That's all for now. Have a great week and good luck with finals or whatever you're up to!!  I think my next post will be a bunch of links to my favorite Christmas songs. That sounds like so much fun.

Happy Birthday to Erika Burton!!!!
We have known each other for, what is it-8 years  now? She is so awesome!! We have so many fun, goofy memories together. One time we got in a car accident together! So fun, Ba haha jokes. And she just got married which is even more awesome! I love her so much and miss her dearly, I hope John makes this her best birthday ever! Love you Mrs. Erika!

Erika and me on twin day! 8th or 9th grade, I don't remember

Lights at Temple Square

So this past Sunday my parents came to Logan, picked me up and we headed to Salt Lake to go see the lights at temple square!

It was so wonderful except for the fog! Goshdangdarn that fog, it made it hard to take good pictures.

So let's back up a little bit. We stopped at Jill's and she  made us some cozy tortilla soup and it was so good. She also had this cheese ball sitting on her counter and that was good. I should know I devoured the whole thing while eating tortillas fried in olive oil :)

Preston and Jenny came to Jill's and we headed to the lights together. I don't know if I have talked about Jenny before, but she is Preston's significant other and she is the GREATEST. I was always worried about who Preston would date after his mission since he dated interesting girls in high school. But she is so kind, cute, and nice to Preston! Well.. actually they are just so nice to each other! It's cute.

Anyways,  I was thinking it wouldn't be crowded but there were a lot of people there!! Because the Christmas Devotional had just gotten out, we may have forgotten about it. Thank goodness for lds.org

Side note: I have always thought going to the lights on a date with a special someone would be the BEST EVER. It's one of my silly dreams. I hope it happens someday!! How revealing ;).

Here are some pictures from our little trip

DAVID!! So sad I didn't know about this.

 Cuties!

Ginger!!

Hand placement

I have recently discovered that I kind of have a big nose. Hmph.Ohhh well!!

(Tis the season)

Sorry I don't have more pictures of the actual lights. I took some but the fog made them look really bad.

That night we drove back to Logan and Emily stayed with me, she even went to class with me the next day! Then we went and got bagels. It was fun!

OH YEAH.

So after class my parents told us to meet them at the Bluebird for lunch. We hurry and get there and my mom says, "Hayley come sit right here." So I did.
I start looking at the menu, but I get distracted people watching so I look up and sitting across from me at the next table is this older man. I look at him for a sec then back at the menu.  I looked again because that's just how I am, then my eyes get really wide. I say, "Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh." And my parents start laughing really hard, and I keep saying, "Oh my gosh!!" Because sitting about ten feet across from me was this man:

JEFFREY R. HOLLAND

Whatintheworld. I listened to him talk, order dessert.. it was crazy!! But so awesome. I love those apostles!
I feel like everyone has cool stories about running into general authorities, AND NOW I HAVE MY OWN!!

Now it's time to study for finals, but I have done so many things this week, none of which has been studying. I am wonderful. Now I need to wash my hair. I won't even tell you how long it's been since that's happened :)

Please comment! Comments = love. Even if you just say, "Hayley I read this" that's all I need.

*****MOM***** and other people without blogs, click on comments then Name/URL and you should be able to comment. Love you!

So maybe this is confession time..

This Friday I am getting my haircut!!!!!!!!!!!

Getting my hair cut is probably in my top 10 favorite things to do. Which is surprising since my hair has been the same since eighth grade.

(8th grade, maybe 9th- note the hair, and Preston's face in the background)

(14th grade.. hair- oh, dont worry, still the same)

But this time will be different. I am going to do something kind of drastic. Why not? I am starting to make changes (for the better) in my life and I need new hair to help me along. Haha.

Anyways about these changes I want to make. I'm not changing who I am, I'm not trying to change my personality. I just want to be better, more efficient in everything I do.

I want to be
-More kind
-More independent
-More dependable/reliable
-More ladylike
-A person that has lots of hobbies (hobbys?)
-A person that doesn't complain (unless it's about how cold I am, I feel like I can do that excessivley)
-Happier; under any circumstance
-More organized,  less of a slob
-Better at priortizing my life
-Better at managing my money
-Better at studying and doing homework
-Better at reading my scriptures and studying Preach My Gospel (this is at the top)
-Someone that does my own thing and doesn't give a thought to what other's think
-MY OWN PERSON-

I want to figure out who Hayley really is. I am almost 20 I need to do this before I get too old! I want to figure out what I like doing, maybe start having an opinion, I want to try different things,  and see what I enjoy. In other words, I need to leave my comfort zone.

I've always thought of myself as being an extrovert, getting my energy from big groups. But I recently discovered that I'm really not. I most definitely have introvert personality traits. Shocking?? I'm not quiet, or shy and I love talking to people and making new friends, I'd just rather do those things at a small social gathering. Being an introvert doesn't mean you are an anti-social loser. It look me a long time to realize that! Just because the thought of reading a book, or taking a relaxing bath gets me more jazzed than taking time to get ready  to go out and party does not mean I am weird!

Realizing that about myself has given me so much confidence! I am not a defected person! And it's okay if I don't like going to parties every weekend! I still love social gatherings, I still LOVE having fun (I live for it!), but doing/having those things all the time isn't necessary to my well-being and sometimes I just need Hayley-time. Lately I have been feeling THIS. But I am learning to accept myself, and realize that it's okay.
I'm okay.

Another thing. I sometimes want to seem like one of those people that doesn't waste time stalking facebook or blogging. But guess what? I do. I love looking at people's pictures, and reading their blogs. Mind you I restrict my time doing that, but I do keep up on people's lives. And I like it when people keep up on mine.

Just had to write these things down before they left my brain. I want to blog later about going to temple square and seeing the pretty lights. Later though, for now I need to do things like study for finals :)

Visit again soon!

I love Australia, the movie

Who needs food, water, shelter, even oxygen- when you have Hugh Jackman. He is the breath of life. And that's all folks.

You can't even tell me you didn't die looking at these!! Even if you're a boy, then you probably died from disgust.

Barnes&Noble

Quick story:

My mom and I went shopping the day after Black Friday.. so we went shopping on Saturday. Anyways we parked in front of Barnes&Noble because I LOVE walking through that store. They have the cutest journals!

So before we start our shopping we had to use the restroom, when do I not need to use the restroom? We walked through the children's section and get to the bathroom and this lady is standing there waiting in line... even though the door to the handicap stall is open, and so is the one to her left,I don't think she noticed.. But whatever I wasn't going to say anything even though my bladder was about to empty all over the tile. This lady finally looked to her left and realized," Oh this stall is open!" EVEN THOUGH THE HANDICAP STALL WAS OPEN THE WHOLE TIME. Is it called a handicap stall? I don't like the word handicap.

Anyways my mom could sense my urgency so she let me go ahead of her in line, how nice. My mom is so nice. And I start walking towards the back handicap stall and when I am about to walk in this lady emerges!! Bare legs, pants around her ankles, hand pulling down her shirt in the front so I don't see anything that'd give me nightmares (too late!), she was definitely waddling, we make eye contact and she shuts the door.

Oh. My. Whatjusthappened.

My mom and I look at each other and start silently laughing, like when you laugh so hard no sound comes out. I had to leave that bathroom or else I would have lost it. I walked around Barnes&Noble laughing to myself, eyes watering, bladder about to explode. So uncomfortable. My mom finds me and I start explaining to her why I had to leave, and I start laughing and my mom says, "Shh!! She is right behind you.! She was behind me and heard everything I said!! How embarrassing!! The only thing more embarrassing than that would have been to walk around a Barnes & Noble bathroom with my pants down. Oh wait she did that so I don't feel as bad.

The rest of the trip was great. We got fudge and cinnamon glazed almonds aka my crack. Then we listened to the cutest old people play Christmas songs on their instruments! This little old man was playing a bass (not a guitar, the string instrument foolz)  that was about as big as he :) Overall an excellent, fun day!

(Oh Idaho how lovely ye are with your storms and icy roads)

(Joy to the World, Joy Cooper has come, let earth receive her bling- haha I just made that up as I typed it)
