Crazy Life

Life has been crazy lately. Cory started another semester of school, I work, but we still manage to have a little bit of fun. It's just kind of hard because Cory leaves early (most of the time I am still in bed, haha) then I go to work, leaving an empty apartment. Then I come home to an empty apartment. Cory gets home, we eat and then he leaves again to go practice until we go to bed!! It isn't like this every night. I bet he stays home in the evening half the time. But I am glad I don't have to force Cory to do his homework and get good grades, because I would be like, "don't do your homework, lets go get some froyo!!!"

(Before the Mormon Tabernacle Choir concert! It was so so great)

So this little confetti piece or whatever the H it is was found by my mom and she was like, "Look Hayley I found this!!" And I said, "Well, what is it mom?" She then informed me, "It's Moses holding the ten commandments!! Funny huh?!"  So then I stared at it for a little longer and turned my head sideways and said, "Mom, I think that is a man and a woman dancing..." Then we laughed.

I'm pretty sure I need to blog about our trip to Colorado, but I was able to see one of my best and dearest friends Amber!! Her husband is in the army and they are stationed just outside of Denver. Actually I might have blogged about this already. I will check, sheesh.

A couple of things have happened in the past month that have changed my family quite a bit! The first being my little sister Emily moved out and is up at BYU I!! My parents are officially 'empty nesters' I can't believe she is so grown up and is OLD enough to be in school and she even hangs around boys that are returned missionaries! *gasp* I can't believe it.  she and her roommates even have 'cupcake breaks' when they are doing their homework in the evening, hahaha. (I totally warned her about the inevitable freshman 15 don't worry)
(My "little" sister who is 3 inches taller than me)

The second thing that happened was my dad was released from his stake presidency calling. This was such an emotional day for all of us I think. He had been in there since I was 11. Emily was in second grade, now she is graduated. I wasn't even in Young Women's yet and now I am married!! I feel like my dad has always had that calling and it is SO weird that he doesn't anymore.  My dad and the other members of that stake presidency are some of the most dedicated men I have ever met, they did so much for the youth growing up, we all just loved them.  They loved their callings and I never ever heard my dad complain once about going to the same meeting every  Tuesday  night for 10 years. I never heard him complain that he didn't get to sit by my mom in church for 10 years. I know that my dad had his toughest trials during the time he served in the stake presidency, but I also know that our family has been SO blessed.  My brother Preston was able to serve a mission after open heart surgery. My other brother Logan started heading in a much better direction, and we all have grown so close.  Anyways my dad hasn't had a relaxing Sunday in YEARS!! But now he can, and he has a lot of time on his hands. My parents bought some property up in Ashton and I think that will be good for them, it can occupy their time so they don't become idle ;)  I am so grateful for my dad, Pres Wheeler, and Pres Kennedy and for their hard work ethic and always staying close to the Lord.

I don't know, I just found this.  Have no idea what I was doing.

Zucchini Casserole

So the other day at work, my boss comes in and he has three HUGE Zucchini's with him, he tell us they are ours for the taking. So I took one home, thinking I could do something with it.

The next day I was at work for FOREVER because after work my co worker needed to have some work done, which was fine because I like my co workers. So I get home  around 6 and Cory had made dinner! He made Baked Mac n' cheese and Zucchini casserole. It was basically mac n cheese with chunks of Zucchini in it. I was like, "Cory how did you know how to make this?"

He goes, "Oh I looked it up online." Woweee!! Without pinterest? How? (haha)

Anyways we ate this casserole and it was surprisingly good. I may have thought it was even more delicious because I didn't have to make it, that's how it works, right?

Later that night I opened our Ipad and I saw the recipe was opened, so i read it. Then I exited out of that window and the next page was a google search page, and typed into the search box was, "How to cut a large Zucchini."

Hahahahahahaha you guys I about died laughing!!! He said, "Well I didn't know if I should cut it in half and then slice it into wedges or if I should slice it..."

He ended up just slicing it without cutting it in half. I thought it was so cute that he was worried about how to cut the Zucchini!!

Camping!!

This past weekend we went camping with my family to Copper Basin. It was SO fun and so relaxing (except for the scary four-wheeler trails we went on!) Oh I also finished an entire book in one day. Ever read The Mazerunner? I finished the trilogy in 4 days. Wow, I have a lot of time on my hands when I'm not working!

But, this post is dedicated to Cory and how much all the little girl cousins loved him, I threw in some other pics as well! Anyways those little girls couldn't leave him alone. He will be such a GREAT father someday, he always knows just what to say to little humans.

(My cute husband! But I feel like he looks like his little brother Alex in this picture and so that kinda freaks me out, haha)

(Dirty faces after four wheeling. I always get a dirt unibrow)

(Emma helping with dinner)

11 June 2012

While  I was at the gym today I was thinking about how I am kind of a weirdy when it comes to exercising.  I get REALLY bored on aerobic machines so I will usually have Red Jumpsuit Apparatus or Jimmy Eat World blasting on my ipod if I am on anything that doesn't let me read while I'm on it (like a spinning bike). While it is playing I usually move my head and upper body to the beat of the music. I lift my head up and down AND I mouth the words. I also don't look anyone in the eye, but if I do I will smile.  I smiled at this guy today because he had bright yellow shorts on, with a towel draped over his head with a straw hat to secure it in place. Oh and he had sunglasses on, ha ha. I love the gym (sometimes).

Talking about the gym also reminds me of when I did my senior project. I had to create this portfolio of pictures of me exercising. I did NOT want to do that so I made my little sister do it, I made her do a squat, a sit up... it was so funny and so great. And my judges didn't even know it wasn't me.

Cory is getting an iphone today. Why don't I ever get to buy cool things? SheeeeeEEESH. It's okay as long as he lets me use instagram.

ps- I am not trying to be like, "Yeah I work out, I go to the gym." Because I do NOT consider myself to be in good enough shape to even run a mile and I'm not a man and those are things a man would say Gosh I HATE running. But I think it is important to exercise.
